作詞者ヨハン・ストイエルライン(Johann Steuerlein, 1546-1613)はドイツのシュマルカルデンのルーテル教会の初任牧師の家庭に生まれ、法律を学んだ後、1580年、ヴァズンゲンのタウン書記官(法律家の資格がある上位行政官)に任命され、各地歴職後、マイニンゲン市長になりました。 ルドルフ皇帝は彼を桂冠詩人に任じています。
